How it works
Three steps to a property you stop thinking about.
- 01
We walk the property
Rathana comes out, looks at the ground, and listens to what is bothering you about it. Measurements get taken on the same visit.
- 02
You get it in writing
A written estimate comes back in one to two business days — what the work is, what it involves, and when it can happen. Estimates are free.
- 03
One crew does the work
The same people do the grading, the stone and the planting, and the same people come back in October to cut the beds in.
Want to see what yours could look like?
Rathana walks the property himself and the estimate comes back in writing.
Selected work
Stone, grade and planting on Main Line properties.
Stepping-stone path in river stone with a granite cobble edge, and a bed planted the same week.
Corner bed rebuilt around the tree: boulders set, bed cut, plants in, mulched.
Island bed cut into an open lawn, with the edge held by hand rather than by plastic.
The strip between the walk and the lawn, planted and mulched as one piece of work.
Planting the edges of a new path, the same week the stone went down.
Composite deck and rail on a stone house: footings, framing and the regrade underneath.
Every photograph is a Loth & Son job, taken on the property.
Two names on the truck
Loth & Son is not a flourish.
- Before
Rathana Yen’s father started the company. Rathana grew up in it, in the beds and in the truck, learning the trade the way it has always been learned.
- 2017
He came home after nine years, a Sergeant, and came back to the work he grew up in.
- Now
His father is retired. The name still says both of them.
Which is why the person who walks your property is the person who sets the stone, and the person who comes back in October to cut the beds in.
Where we work
Lower Merion Township, and out from there.
Most of the work sits inside a few square miles. The crew is minutes away when something needs another look.
